Lucretia is a leading lighting design company that specializes in custom lighting design, supply and full project design for both commercial and residential projects.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Lighting Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for design, lighting, and architecture, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics. As a Lighting Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing lighting solutions that enhance the functionality, safety, and beauty of various spaces, including residential, commercial, and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultation and Design: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their lighting needs, preferences, and budget. Develop comprehensive lighting plans and designs that align with the project's architectural style and interior design.
  • Product Selection: Recommend lighting fixtures and systems based on the latest trends, technology, and sustainability practices. Assist clients in selecting products that complement their space and meet their functional requirements.
  • Project Management: Coordinate with contractors, architects, and interior designers to ensure the seamless execution of lighting projects. Oversee installations and provide guidance on placement, intensity, and color temperature to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice on electrical requirements, energy efficiency, and lighting controls. Stay up-to-date with advancements in lighting technology and industry standards.
  • Client Support: Offer exceptional customer service by addressing clients' questions and concerns throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct follow-ups to ensure satisfaction with the final installation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in lighting design or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of lighting principles, energy efficiency, and environmental impact.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Dialux, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset.

     

    Showroom Sales Consultant

    As a Lighting Showroom Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product expertise to clients visiting the lighting showroom. You will assist customers in selecting the perfect lighting fixtures that meet their design preferences, budget, and lighting needs for residential and commercial spaces. Your goal is to create a positive shopping experience and ensure that customers find the ideal lighting solutions for their projects.


    Responsibilities:

    • Customer Assistance: Greet and welcome customers both in-person and online, providing exceptional service through various communication channels. Engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their lighting requirements and design preferences, whether they visit the showroom, contact via email, or phone, or make online inquiries.
    • Product Knowledge: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the lighting products available in the showroom. Stay up-to-date with the latest lighting trends, styles, and technologies to provide accurate and informed product recommendations.
    • Consultative Selling: Use your expertise to guide customers in choosing appropriate lighting fixtures based on their needs, style preferences, and budget. Offer tailored solutions that align with the customer's vision.
    • Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations to showcase various lighting fixtures, including how they function, the effects of different light sources, and the impact on ambiance.
    • Cross-selling and Upselling: Suggest complementary products or upgrades that enhance the overall lighting design and customer experience, ensuring that they are aware of all suitable options.
    • Technical Information: Provide customers with technical information about lighting fixtures, such as lumens, wattage, color temperature, and compatibility with dimmers or smart home systems.
    • Order Processing: Assist customers with order placements, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Collaborate with the showroom team to manage inventory and restock displays.
    • Customer Follow-up: Maintain communication with customers after their visit, addressing any additional questions or concerns and ensuring their satisfaction with their purchase.
    • Showroom Merchandising: Assist in maintaining an organized and visually appealing showroom, ensuring that lighting fixtures are appropriately displayed and highlighted.
    • Sales Targets: Work towards achieving individual and team sales targets by actively engaging with customers and promoting the benefits of specific lighting products.

    To be successful, the following criteria must be met:

    • Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in a lighting showroom or a similar home improvement environment.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with customers.
    • Strong product knowledge of lighting fixtures, types of bulbs, and lighting accessories.
    • Ability to understand customer needs and provide personalized solutions.
    • Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
    • Enthusiasm for interior design and a passion for keeping up with lighting industry trends.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple customer interactions and maintain showroom displays.
    • Flexibility to work weekends as required by the showroom's operating hours.
